Skate into Summer

Since its genesis, skateboarding has been considered an iconic cultural symbol and an intricate competitive sport. From music to film, fashion and more — skateboarding has had a profound legacy. Opening Sunday, June 4, the Great Park welcomes new exhibitions, New Normal: Skateboarding Now and Deck Design: A Survey of Skateboard Evolution — celebrating Southern California skateboarding culture and history with curated photographs, collections, and immersive installations.

Plus, as part of our kick-off, in collaboration with SlushCult, we’re hosting Slushcult Fingerboard Sessions where you can fingerboard along custom-made ramps.

Join us Sunday, June 4, 1–3 p.m. for the opening reception and fingerboard session at the Great Park Palm Court Arts Complex.
