June is Pride Month and the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with DJ Joe Smith, Brittany Hadfield and the Mystic community are presenting Mystic Pride Week, June 11 to 17. 

Joe and Brittany had previously orchestrated a Pride Week in 2019 in Mystic that involved local restaurants and evening events.  This year, the Chamber discussed a Mystic Pride Week with a week of events scheduled, ending with Pride in the Park, a concert held at Mystic River Park. 

The events kicked off last night with Port of Call’s Drag Summer Swagger Show and continues tonight with Trivia at Bank & Bridge and Friar Tuck’s. Tuesday, Pizzetta will have live music by Luke and Mike. The full week’s event schedule can be found at mysticchamber.org or on the Mystic App. 

Bruce Flax, President of the Mystic Chamber said “We wanted to be involved and are thankful Joe and Brittany looped us in. We want the LGBTQ+ Community to know they are welcome in Mystic.” 

The week closes out on June 17^th with live music in Mystic River Park from 3 pm to 6 pm with a performance by Shaded Soul Band. There will also be community organizations handing out information and guest speakers. 

Bank & Bridge has been very instrumental in organizing events this week and are presenting several including a Paint Your Pet event on Wednesday and a Pride in the Park afterparty on Saturday following the concert.
