When we decided to launch Guilford's first-ever porchfest event, we had  no idea of the Amazing response we'd receive!! On September 7, 2024, more than 40 Guilford performers will come together on more than 20 porches in the heart of downtown Guilford for a Free all-volunteer community-building celebration featuring the musical talent and creativity of those who live and work in Guilford.

Guilford Porchfest 2024 is a hyperlocal, all-volunteer community-building event featuring the musical talent and creativity of those who live or work in Guilford, Connecticut: young to old, novice to professional, singers, instrumentalists…and everyone in between! The event will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from noon to 5 pm, on porches in the heart of downtown Guilford, Connecticut. All Guilford Porchfest solo performers (or at least one member of any duo or group) live or work in Guilford, and all porches have been “donated” for the day by Guilford residents. All performances will be free and open to the public. Applications for performers and porches are now closed. Always accepting applications for day-of-event volunteers! Guilford Porchfest is sponsored by Guilford Insurance, Guilford Savings Bank, The Guilford Foundation, Shoreline Arts Alliance, the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and GreenStage Guilford Live Arts.

Guilford Porchfest 2024 is a family-friendly, no-alcohol event. Please leave your four-legged friends at home, as most performances take place on private property! This is an all-volunteer community-building event: Please clean up after yourself and be respectful to hosts, performers, volunteers, and fellow attendees. Guilford Porchfest 2024 is a walkable event, with all performances taking place within a 10-minute walk of the Guilford Green. Park, take the Shoreline East to Guilford, or hire a rideshare, and walk, bike, or dance between porches! Please congregate only on host lawns and property and keep all sidewalks clear for pedestrian use and roadways clear for motor traffic.
