Clemson Professor And Author To Visit Hampton Memorial Library In Easley

Pickens County Library System is pleased to announce author, John "Mike" Coggeshall, will visit the Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library in Easley for an author talk and book signing, where he will focus on his latest book, Something in These Hills, The Culture of Family Land in Southern Appalachia. The event will be held on Tuesday, January 17th in the Meeting Room of the Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library at 6:00 pm.

Dr. Coggeshall is a Professor of Anthropology at Clemson University. Much of his research centers around the cultural history of South Carolina's mountains. His latest book, Something in These Hills: The Culture of Family Land in Southern Appalachia explores the symbolic meaning of land for families in Upstate South Carolina.

Poor Richards Booksellers will be onsite to sell copies of Something in These Hills as well as John M. Coggeshall's other books.
