Lowcountry Experiences on the Water:
Come aboard with the Lowcountry’s foremost watermen, Captain Christopher Shoemaker and crew for an excursion like no other. Explore the waterways on a two hour excursion that includes instruction on shrimping, oystering, clamming, and crabbing and demonstrations teaching the skills required to “put food on the table.” After the work is done, guests will enjoy the fruits of their labor at Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks. Times might vary based on tide and weather conditions.
Tours are running daily Monday, February 20 - 25, 2023. Three tours are available each day: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. $125 Per Person. All excursions depart and return from Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks.

Designated as the first Community Wildlife Habitat in South Carolina, this private island will urge you to leave the hectic world behind and reconnect you to surrounding nature and stunning views. Park at the Callawassie Island Clubhouse and board transportation to a Welcome Reception at the fully renovated River Club, known for its sparkling river views, before you continue on to experience of a few of the most exquisite homes on Callawassie Island. New in 2023 this pop-up dinner shares New Mexican culture course by course. Chef Fernando Olea, Best Chef of the Southwest 2022 James Beard Award Winner, joins Chef Tim Nelson of Holy Tequila for this one night only event. Chef Fernando Olea has been enthralling diners in Santa Fe since 1991 with his unique interpretation of contemporary and traditional Mexican dishes. Chef Olea creates sophisticated flavors using Old Mexico’s indigenous and culinary traditions alongside ingredients from around the world. Nothing evokes the mystery of Mexican cuisine and showcases Chef Fernando more than mole, a regional dish from the heart of the country. The origin of Mexican mole is mysterious and many mole recipes contain more than thirty ingredients and some recipes have five varieties of chile alone.
Chef Fernando Olea will join Hilton Head Island’s renowned Chef Tim Nelson who’s cuisine blends New American flavors with authentic cuisine of Mexico. Guests will enjoy a collaboration on four courses paired with exceptional cocktails from our Official Tequila Herradura®.

Chef Nini Nguyen, New Orleans based chef, instructor, recipe creator and Bravo’s Top Chef All Stars contestant brings new life to fresh Carolina shrimp. Experience the technique and culture of this spicy Cajun stew with Vietnamese roots, as Chef Nguyen’ s shares her personal recipe. Explore a new way to cook and eat local shrimp with a dish that won a Top Chef challenge.

Chef Brother Luck shares stories from his Cajun and Creole Grandmothers in this incredible culinary class. Brother Luck is a celebrity chef that not only pays tribute to his roots through his food but brings global inspiration into every palette and wows with his unique flavors and technique. And yes, that’s his real name.
Brother also has an impressive array of television appearances under his belt that include appearing on Food Network as a Chopped finalist and winning his episode of Beat Bobby Flay. Brother was also a favorite on the Emmy award winning Bravo’s Top Chef Season 15 and 16 and cooking his way through the competitors on the digital series Last Chance Kitchen.
Since his global travels, Chef Brother Luck stepped into the role as entrepreneur opening his signature southwestern concept, Four by Brother Luck and a modern Asian eatery, Lucky Dumpling in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Both restaurants are top rated and hot spots in Downtown, Colorado Springs.

A guided demonstration and tasting with Best Chef of the Southwest 2022 James Beard Award Winner Chef Olea, originally from Mexico City, Chef Fernando Olea has been enthralling diners in Santa Fe since 1991. Chef Olea creates sophisticated flavors using Old Mexico’s indigenous and culinary traditions alongside ingredients from around the world. Chef Olea is well known for his exquisite moles, a sauce of complex flavors that usually includes toasted and ground spices, seeds, nuts, chocolate and chile. Many mole recipes contain more than thirty ingredients and some recipes have five varieties of chile alone. Chef Olea is delighted to share his moles with you at during this once in a lifetime Master Class.
Chef Olea will be demonstrating how to prepare his New Mexican Mole. This Master Class will showcase a mole created by Chef Olea to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the City of Santa Fe and includes many of the ingredients are from crops that New Mexico is known for.

Each year, we invite you to join our friends, chefs and pitmasters to a Master Class like no other. This Master Class Demonstration of barbecue techniques includes local and visiting chefs from around the country.
Join us as we fire up the pits, creek side at the historic Coastal Discovery Museum where you’ll meet the greatest experts in all things live fire. You’ll experience unique and correct techniques for cooking on charcoal, how to prep meats for the barbecue. Each of our Chefs will be demonstrating his own techniques on pork ****, brisket, chicken, and ribs. And the best part….you’ll get to sample them all along with a signature cocktail or two.
Secrets of a Pitmaster Master Class is held from 4:00 - 5:30 PM. After the a behind-the-scenes experience, your time continues with early access to our Pig Pickin’ + Oyster Roast from 6:00-9:00 PM that night.

The festival’s main event will be held at the iconic, Shelter Cove Harbour + Marina from 1:00 - 4:30 PM. Our 16th annual main event’s “port of call” has stunning harbor views, lending an unmistakable charm and beauty to an incredible afternoon of food and drink. This event offers samplings from more than 100 food and beverage vendors. Two stages of live entertainment from music from JoJo Squirrel to our “Taste of the South Celebrity Chef Stage” with cooking demonstrations, artisans from around the country and more! Ticket sales are limited!

Whether you’re a local, new to the Lowcountry, or just visiting, our brunch is the perfect end to your weekend! Unwind and enjoy a mimosa or Bloody Mary along the docks. This special menu is filled with southern classics as well as new dishes. It’s a colorful, full-on flavor experience with proceeds benefitting the David M. Carmines Memorial Foundation.
Tickets are not required. Seatings are first come first serve. Brunch will feature live music from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
