The Holiday Port Festival is a free, family-friendly event held the the first weekend of December at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal.

This is one of the Port’s signature events for the community and includes:

Live performances
Gingerbread House Display
Visits and Photos with Santa Claus

The gingerbread house contest is free and open to bakers of all abilities and ages. It is open to any age, and any group size,  Our optional themed category for 2024 is "Under the Sea"! You may choose to enter the theme category instead of one of the other categories. Don't want to follow the theme? You don't have to. Just pick from one of the other categories. Many adults and children make a tradition out of entering the contest, and ribbons are awarded for the top three in each category.
