Jonathan Biss, Piano:
Jonathan Biss is a world renowned pianist who channels his deep musical curiosity into performances and projects in the concert hall and beyond. In addition to performing with today’s leading orchestras, Jonathan Biss continues to expand his reputation as a teacher, musical thinker, and one of the great Beethoven interpreters of our time.
In his third performance in our series, Mr. Biss will perform two works by Schubert and a new solo work by Tyson Davis.

Alessio Bax and Lucille Chung Duo, Piano Four Hands:
Bax is praised for creating “a ravishing listening experience” with his lyrical playing and insightful interpretations. Chung has been acclaimed for her “stylish and refined” performances by Gramophone.
The duo first appeared in our 2020–2021 streaming music series ALIVEmusica. Their program this season includes works by Mozart, Poulenc, Debussy, and Piazzolla.

Conrad Tao, Piano:
Tao has performed as a soloist with the leading major orchestras, and as a composer, his work has been performed by orchestras throughout the world including the world premiere of his first large-scale orchestral work, Everything Must Go, by the New York Philharmonic.
In his first performance on our stage, Tao’s program will include Brahms, Ravel, and David Fulmer.

Ying Li, Piano:
Our concert featuring Ying Li has been designated as the Founders Concert for our 2023–2024 Season, in memory of our founders Gwen and Bill Stevens.
Renowned for her “graceful, lyrical” playing (Cleveland Classical), twenty-four-year-old Chinese pianist, Ying Li was the first prize winner of the 2021 Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions.
Ms. Li has received top awards in numerous national and international competitions and performed with many leading orchestras such as The Philadelphia Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony, Brevard Music Festival Orchestra, L’Accademia Orchestra del La Scala, and the NWD-Philharmoniker.
This is her first appearance in our series.
