From: HummerBird CelebrationJoin us for the 35th Annual HummerBird Celebration in the coastal Texas towns of Rockport and Fulton, Texas. We hope to have a spectacular fall migration of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, the stars of the show. You may also see Rufous, Black-chinned, and Buff-bellied Hummingbirds.
We offer something special for everyone, from backyard to more experienced birders. Topics and activities are available to meet interests in: birds, butterflies, cranes, hawks and even habitat development in your own backyard. See schedule for pricing, times and locations.
COME EARLY! - Starting Sept. 9th, visit select Hummer Homes. This list of homes can only be obtained at the Rockport-Fulton Chamber Visitor Center upon arrival. Home Owners welcome you from dawn to dusk Thursday through Sunday. Some select Hummer Homes open one week after the event.
The 2023 T-SHIRT ARTIST WINNER, Sue Bonnar will sign T-shirts during the event.
ARANSAS PATHWAYS CENTER AND BRIDGE - Free All day. Interpretative signage maps of the entire venue project. Located just north of Walmart on Business 35 at Tule Creek West.
HUMMER MALL Shop for bird and nature related items including bird feeders and birding supplies, art, jewelry, and more. Friday and Saturday 9am-5pm, 10-3pm on Sunday. Vendors listed in event program. Food available for purchase in High School Common area.
OUTDOOR EXHIBITS 10am—5pm on Friday and Saturday 10-3pm on Sunday. Exhibits displayed along the greenspace in front of the auditorium.
BANDING DEMONSTRATION Master Bander, Kelly Bryan, demonstrates the importance of banding. Free and open to the public.
SELF-GUIDED HUMMER HOMES
BAY EDUCATION CENTER - Free all day. The Bay Education Center will be open from 10am to 4pm Thursday through Saturday with free public programs offered from 10:30-11am.
Thursday - Great Migration Challenge, Friday - Make A Bird Feeder, Saturday - Seed Balls. These programs are on a first come, first serve basis for the first 12 adults or kids.

KEYNOTE PRESENTATION & DINNER – 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm – Enjoy a presentation by native South Texan and nationally recognized photographer and videographer, Cissy Beasley.
Her lively presentation “Rockport’s Blessing: The Beauty That Surrounds Us” will showcase the natural world, where order and beauty prevail -vs- the stressful human world. BIRDING LECTURE/ BUS FIELD TRIP 8:30 a.m.. "Learning How To Identify Hummingbirds” is a brief lecture followed by local bus field trip. This program, led by expert birder, Glenn Olsen, is intended for anyone that wants to improve their Hummingbird identification skills. Along with the field trip you will have a solid foundation to begin the ID of hummingbirds in Texas, Meet at Aquarium Education Center, 706 Navigation Circle, Rockport.

NEW: BIRDING FIELD TRIP-Looking to do a little local Rockport birding? Join Bob Showler, retired Park Ranger, to look for birds at Aransas Pathways sites and other local birding sites. Meet at RCA at 8:30 a.m. and you will travel to sites via bus and return to RCA at 11am.
HUMMER BREAKFAST AT THE HISTORY CENTER : 8 am to 10 am. Join us for the Hummer Breakfast at the History Center for Aransas County.
