Helena, MT -- Last week, Montana Democrats held numerous town hall events across the state during the Legislature’s transmittal break. Democratic central committees, nonprofit organizations and issue advocacy groups joined forces and organized town hall meetings with over one thousand participants in attendance in total. Lawmakers met with their constituents and discussed everything from national to local issues.

In a column published in Lee Newspapers, Interim Executive Director Justin Ailport highlighted the key takeaways from discussions at the town hall, and applauded the Democrat’s energy and organizing efforts:
“Montanans at our town halls said they were nervous about the direction our country is heading and expressed disappointment in our Republican leadership. However, there was positive energy in every meeting and dare I say it, optimism. One thing is clear after a week of town halls: Montana Democrats are fighting back and organizing with an energy we’ve never seen before.”
Town halls were held across the entire state (and continue this week) in the following locations:
Billings
Bozeman
Butte
Fergus County
Great Falls
Havre
Helena
Kalispell
Lake County
Livingston (two separate meetings)
