“Inauguration days are a celebration of new beginnings and an opportunity to inspire the country and unify the American people. While President Trump’s speech did not attempt to do that, nevertheless, we celebrate the peaceful transfer of power that defines our democracy. Our nation is strong and resilient and our people have the desire and the power to come together to chart the course of our future. We are blessed to live in such a democracy.

On Jan 21st, Iowans recommit to the values that unite us: freedom, justice, equality, and opportunity for all. Together, we can build a brighter future for every Iowan.”
