Des Moines, IA, On June 28, 2024 - Iowa GOP Spokesman Luke Wolff released the following statement in response to Biden's horrendous performance in the first Presidential Debate:

"What we saw from Biden last night on the debate stage was embarrassing for our country, and frankly sad to see. The monsoon of headlines from national media about Biden's clear decline confirms what Republicans have been saying for years now: Biden is unfit for office and cannot lead this country."

"Right now, the media in Iowa needs to ask every single Democrat one question:

'Should Joe Biden remain at the top of the ticket?'

"I do not want to hear any criticisms of Republicans from Democrats until they answer that question. It is inexcusable for their social media to go radio silent during a Presidential Debate, then fire back up the following morning like nothing ever happened. The Democratic Party is in shambles right now and they need to be transparent about who they support for President. Republicans are united - can the Democrats say the same thing? Their silence is deafening."
