The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History proudly presents: It's a Wonderful Life: A Tribute to Beverly Brown & Donnis Baggett at the Miramont Country Club on Friday, January 12, 2024. The event will begin with cocktails at 6 pm, honoree arrival at 6:15 pm, followed by dinner at 7 pm.

Join us for an evening filled with great food, humorous and entertaining stories, music, and fun! It is a wonderful opportunity to thank Beverly & Donnis for all of the outstanding support they have given the Brazos Valley over the years.

Reserved tables are almost sold out; individual tickets are $250 and guests may call the Museum and request to be placed on a waiting list. Cancellations do occur and seats will become available through January 12.

Can’t attend, but want to honor Beverly & Donnis? Contributions to the Museum in their honor will be recognized at the event.

Tickets are also on sale for a stunning Diamond Barrel Pave Necklace with 1.44 ctw diamonds, 18K gold setting, 18 inch gold chain valued at $4500, donated by David Gardner’s Jewelers.

The drawing will take place at the Tribute on January 12. Attendance is not required to win. Tickets are $50 each or 5 for $200, and can be purchased online, at the Museum, and at the Tribute.

Beverly Brown is a retired Southwest Airlines flight attendant and former teacher. Donnis Baggett is a journalist who’s in the 50th year of his career. Not only are they a married couple who volunteer time and resources to numerous community activities, they’re also partners in the Lucky B Bison Ranch.

Beverly co-founded the Lucky B Bison Festival, which raised funds for the first endowed scholarship for a Native American student at Texas A&M University. Her service activities include Meals on wheels, The Woman’s Club of Bryan, Twin City Mission, Keep Brazos Beautiful, and Chosen.

Beverly was recognized by the Prenatal Clinic as a “You’re the Tops,” Woman of Distinction in 2018 and by Bryan ISD as a Hall of Honor designee in 2023.

In addition to his years of service as publisher and editor of The Eagle, Donnis served in volunteer leadership roles with the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce, Washington-the-Brazos State Park Association, Twin City Mission, the Salvation Army, the American Heart Association and Brazos County Extension horse and commercial heifer committees.

He is a member of the Texas Newspaper Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas’ prestigious James Madison Award.

Both Beverly and Donnis served on the Board of Trustees of the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History, currently serve in leadership roles at First Methodist Church of Bryan, volunteer at the Brazos Church Pantry, and are dedicated supporters of the Aggieland Humane Society.

They have hosted scores of groups from around the world on educational tours at their bison ranch and have served in leadership roles of the National Bison Association and the Texas Bison Association for the past 20 years.

Beverly and Donnis bring energy, commitment, and passion to all they do and their generosity and kindness has helped make it a wonderful life in the Brazos Valley.
