PARADE

The parade will run South to North on Main St. You must register online at jennngsfestival.com and pick up your number for your float the week before the parade Tuesday-Friday at the Tupper Museum between 10AM-4PM. Line up is at 3PM. The parade rules are as follows:

- Absolutely no drivers for the parade floats/vehicles may be drinking, if a driver is found to be drinking you will be immediately escorted off of the parade route and banned from all future parades. The same goes for any other parade participants that are found to be overly intoxicated, acting in manners that are deemed unsafe, profane, or otherwise disorderly and unbecoming of a festivity where children are present.

- Music must be censored for hard profanity, if you play music with hard profanity you will be warned once, and asked to exit the parade the second time. We welcome all genres of music, but ask you choose your playlists with the idea in mind that there will be children present.

- Costumes/Dress Code- Clothing must be appropriate for a family atmosphere. No costumes or clothing (or lack there of) that are profane will be allowed.

- No glass containers are allowed at any time, during any events on Main St. Each float should have its own trash cans/bags. Any floats to be found littering or dropping trash along the route will be disqualified.

- All throws are welcome with the exception of throws that have higher probability of causing harm (we know beads can sting but no throwing books, heavy items, or sharp items) as well as items that can cause a mess like unwrapped food, drinks, or slime. (So no throwing
tomatoes, potatoes, popsicles, capri suns, etc.) Also, no throwing live animals. 6. No hopping off and on floats during the actual parade, this can cause injuries. No one from the crowd may hop onto a float on the route once the parade has begun.

There Will Be No Alcohol And Stricter Music Restrictions On Family Day. Family Day Is About Letting Children Experience Louisiana Traditions
