Engel wins debate by communicating a vision that moves Arizona forward

ARIZONA - AZ-06 Democratic candidate Kirsten Engel dominated tonight’s debate against Juan Ciscomani where he continued to dodge important questions and doubled down on his extremist MAGA record. In stark contrast, Engel emphasized a message of freedom and unity that would move Arizona forward during the debate by protecting abortion rights, taking action and passing the bipartisan border bill, and fighting to lower costs for Arizonans.

“Tonight’s debate showcased that rather than fighting for Arizonans, Juan Ciscomani puts wealthy donors, Donald Trump, and extremism first,” said Arizona Democratic Party Chairwoman Yolanda Bejarano. “Kirsten Engel is the leader Arizonans need in Congress from fighting to protect abortion rights, our water future, and lowering costs for working-class families. We cannot afford another two years of Ciscomani killing bipartisan border bills and passing tax cuts for the wealthy, which is why this November Arizonans will flip control of the U.S. House and send Engel to Congress.”

This is the first of two debates, following Ciscomani refusing to debate Engel last cycle.
