The festival begins with a FREE public screening of THE WIZ and costume competition. Come dressed as your favorite character to compete  for best costume or just to add to the viewing experience. Bring family and friends as we venture down the yellow brick road together. It is absolutely FREE, but registration is required through Eventbrite.

6 p.m : Wiz Panel Discussion

You will not want to miss this entertaining and informative trip down our yellow brick road of reflection, critique and celebration of THE WIZ from a variety of perspectives. It is absolutely FREE, but registration is required.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m : Submission Screenings

Join us at The Capri Theatre as we celebrate and promote independent artists who have submitted their projects to this year's festival. We have submissions from as near as down the street to as far as China and many places in between.

We are excited to partner this year with The Capri Theatre which offers a unique dine-in viewing experience. Food and beverages may be ordered from the comfort of your luxury seat, and an awesome team member delivers your order to you.

It is absolutely FREE, but registration is required for each day.

1 p.m - 5 p.m. :Draft Day Casting Call

Game Changing Films casts real athletes as background actors on such projects as Swagger, Bel-Air and All American. The 2023 edition of the JXN FILM FESTIVAL™ is excited to provide this rare, unique opportunity to showcase Mississippi talent and to create opportunities for athletes with a passion for sport.

This year's draft day casting call will be for football (male roles) and basketball (male and female roles). The age range for all roles is 18 to 33.

Athletes MUST register for this event and MUST submit all eligibility documents by July 23, 2023. Registered athletes will receive these documents at the email provided at registration.
