Creative Aging Powered by Connection, Collaboration, and Celebration

Building community is at the heart of everything Lifetime Arts does. In this edition of our newsletter, we're highlighting how our national initiatives, summer engagements, and upcoming networking opportunities are doing just that,
and empowering those we work with to lead transformative creative aging programs.

This year’s theme for Older Americans Month is “Powered by Connection,” which recognizes the impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our health and well-being. Connection is what fuels the power of creative aging programs for older adults, and it begins with us and those we partner with. Let's dive into how our work is powered by connection, collaboration, and celebration.

The Creative Aging Community Network

Launching This Fall

Over the years, we've been asked if there is a place people can go to connect with other professionals working on creative aging projects. We've been strategizing a way to make it happen, and are excited to announce the fall launch of The Creative Aging Community Network — a place for anyone who has attended a Lifetime Arts Creative Aging Foundations Training to continue growing their skills and building peer support. Individual and team memberships will be available. Let us know you're interested by filling out the appropriate form in the links below.

Why We Need to Fight for Funding for Our Aging Population

This isn’t a scene from a retirement brochure; it’s the reality of many older adult centers in NYC. But this very reality is under threat. Proposed budget cuts are slashing funding for essential services like these, jeopardizing the well-being of the city’s rapidly growing older adult population.
