SafetyFest is a collaborative effort between federal, state, and local agencies, businesses of all sizes, and non-profit organizations, all working together to promote safety and health in our daily lives. Over the course of three days, participants can attend a variety of free workshops, hands-on demonstrations, and expert-led classes covering essential safety topics. This event provides a unique opportunity for individuals and organizations to gain valuable knowledge and skills to help create a safer workplace and community.

08:00 AM - 10:00 AM : Identifying and Mitigating Safety Risks in the Workplace

Join instructor Blake Hollingsworth for interactive training to sharpen your ability to spot hidden safety hazards and create a more proactive, safer workplace.

08:00 AM - 12:00 PM : Sling and Rigging

Join instructor JP Pezina for a hands-on course on safe and effective load handling, covering sling designs, rigging techniques, load calculations, and essential safety practices.

Join instructor Nolan Wheeler for a CPR and AED training course that covers responding to cardiac arrest and choking in adults, following the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update.

Instructor Michael Smart will explore how safety leaders can effectively demonstrate their commitment to safety through actions, not just words. The course emphasizes leading by example, engaging in training and drills, promoting open communication, and fostering accountability. Safety leaders will learn how to build trust and credibility within their teams by embodying safety principles and continuously improving safety practices.

Instructor Kristen Marr will discuss workplace abuse, including recognizing harassment, manipulation, and power imbalances. The class covers policies, support resources, safety planning, and strategies to foster a respectful, accountable workplace.
