Town Offices & Recreation Facilities will be closed on Dec. 23, 26 and Jan. 2 for the Christmas & New Years Holidays.
Curbside trash, recycling, and yard waste will be picked up as normal on Monday Dec. 26 & Monday Jan. 2 with NO delays.
The Manchester Public Library will be closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1-2.

Walking Tour on the Great Lawn
Sunday January 1, 2023 at 1pm Hosted by two members of the Cheney Brothers National Historic District Commission, Popular history walk starting at Fuss & O'Neill, 146 Hartford Road. Find out more about the Great Lawn and its former residents on this one-and-a-quarter-hour walk.
Christmas Trees & Transfer Station
Residents are reminded that Christmas Trees can be left out for curbside pickup through Friday, Jan. 13th only.
After Jan. 13th, trees must be brought to the Transfer Station. Trees contaminated with plastic bags, ornaments, lights or stands will not be collected.
Residents are reminded that effective July 1st, 2022, the Transfer Station hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 7:15 am to 2:30 pm.
Manchester residents can bring recyclables to the Transfer Station after applying online for the free Residential Recycling Permit, and can also purchase punch cards to pay for the disposal of other eligible items.

Applications for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) and the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) 2022-2023 Program Year are being accepted.
Free Covid Test Kits
The Manchester Health Department has a limited supply of FREE COVID Test Kits.
Stop by the Manchester Customer Service & Information Center, or the Senior Center, during regular business hours to pick up kits.
OR Request yours today by mail!
Many test kits are expiring soon; you can check for the current expiration date online.
Tax Bills due January 1, 2023
The Town of Manchester will mail Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax bills for the October 2021 Grand List on December 27, 2022.
The second installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 01, 2021 and the Supplemental Motor Vehicle List are due and payable on January 01, 2023.
Failure to pay any tax due January 01, 2023, on or before February 01, 2023, will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of January 1, 2023.
