From: Guilford County SchoolsGreensboro, NC - The votes are in, we’ve done the math, and the numbers add up perfectly for Adjoa Botwe-Rankin, elementary math coordinator, who was named as the June GCS Employee of the Month. Botwe-Rankin was surprised with the news on Friday in front of her peers, former colleagues and family.
As an elementary math coordinator, Botwe-Rankin supports math teachers and curriculum facilitators across the district to ensure that students are receiving high-quality math instruction. She also develops and implements math instruction during summer learning opportunities.
“I have worked with Adjoa for the past nine years,” says literacy coordinator Chlotilde Jones in one of several nominations. “She is extremely committed to her team, her schools and the students who benefit from strong math instruction. She is knowledgeable about her content and provides amazing support to math teachers in our district. Adjoa has such a compassionate demeanor. She displays kindness OFTEN! I am so excited to celebrate this awesome educator our district is privileged to have!”
Botwe-Rankin received a $50 gift card courtesy of the Greensboro Jaycees. During the month of June, her photo will be displayed at the district’s central offices and in the Greensboro Jaycees office.
