Dr. Richard A. Carvajal, president of Valdosta State University, recently honored Sarah Wildes Arnett with the 2023 Presidential Excellence Award for Service. She joined the faculty of VSU’s College of the Arts in 2012 and currently serves as professor of dance and interim head of the Department of Communication Arts.
