Miami Beach Classical Music Festival is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated 11th Season with an exciting schedule of public concerts for all community members to enjoy.

At the heart of this year's festivities are MMF's groundbreaking projection mapping performances - awe-inspiring productions that merge live classical music, visual arts, and technology. Experience the score like never before in these immersive productions that place the audience inside the scenery using MMF's state-of-the-art 360-degree projections designed by our Artistic Director and Founder, Michael Rossi.

The Miami Beach Classical Music Festival aims to bring South Florida audiences the very best classical music experiences and offers regular opportunities to hear opera’s next-generation perform the genre’s greatest hits.

8:30pm - Independence Day Celebration Concert

Patriotic Favorites including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever, and more!

Capture the uniquely American spirit with our Annual Independence Day Fireworks & Patriotic Concert in partnership with the Ocean Drive Association and City of Miami Beach. The MMF Symphony Orchestra and Alumni Division Singers, conducted by founder and artistic director Michael Rossi, will perform on Ocean Drive before and during the City of Miami Beach’s annual Firework Show. Celebrate the holiday with some of your Favorite Broadway Selections and Patriotic Music including Tchaikovsky’s bombastic 1812 Overture, Armed Forces Salute, Stars and Stripes and more!

The fireworks display will launch at 9am mid-concert. Attendees are encouraged to make reservations at one of the many al fresco ocean view restaurants or bring their beach chairs, blankets, and picnics.

6:00pm - Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series (Every Sunday)

Join us for an enchanting evening as the MMF cast of Dead Man Walking presents a special opera aria concert. This event features the performers' favorite selections from the opera world, offering a diverse and captivating repertoire. Ahead of their upcoming opera performance on July 13 & 14, this concert provides a unique opportunity to experience the exceptional talent and emotional depth of the cast. 

The Miami Beach Classical Music Festival presents featured performances in the Ocean Drive Association’s resident-centric and family-friendly concert series bringing classical music outside of the concert hall and into the community. Every Sunday in July, music lovers can catch MMF participants on the Ocean Drive Promenade performing all your favorite Aria, Broadway, and Chamber Music selections. 

These event are free and open to the public - and will take place in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place as part of the Ocean Drive Association's Promenade Concert Series. 

Don’t forget to bring your lawn/beach chairs, blankets, and picnics!

MMF’s Orchestral Institute draws a remarkable pool of talent from around the globe each season. This Chamber Concert is comprised of student musicians who select their own programs and coach with our distinguished faculty and artists-in-residence.

The next generation of symphonic conductors train at MMF’s Conducting Institute. These emerging artists gain valuable experience leading a full orchestra while being coached, as they study all aspects of the art of conducting with acclaimed faculty. Institute Fellows then have a chance to show off their artistry in a public concert. See them in Miami Beach first!

Join us for a special tribute concert honoring composer Jake Heggie, featuring select scenes from his acclaimed operas performed by singers from the Opera Apprentice Program. Experience the emotional depth and exquisite melodies of "Dead Man Walking," " Facing Forward/Looking Back," and "Three Decembers" as we celebrate Heggie's remarkable contributions to opera. Don't miss this unique opportunity to enjoy his masterpieces in the presence of the composer himself!

This opera, based on the impactful book and film interpretation of the same name, is acclaimed composer Jake Heggie’s take on the true story that forever influenced the modern debate on the death penalty in America. 

When a New Orleans-based Catholic nun agrees to become pen pals with an inmate convicted of murder on death row, her entire worldview on life, death, forgiveness, and capital punishment is challenged forever. 

Heggie will be in residence to work with MMF’s Opera Institute cast to help tell this poignant story featuring a libretto by Tony-award-winning Terrance McNally (Masterclass, Ragtime).
