Migration Madness Birdathon Means More Bird Conservation

Clubs and Organizations

May 10, 2023

From: Fairfield Migration Madness

Greetings!

If you participate in the 2023 Migration Madness Birdathon, the funds you contribute and raise will make Connecticut a better place for birds to migrate through in spring and fall, spend the winter, and raise their babies.

Those funds will improve bird sanctuaries:
Birdcraft and Larsen in Fairfield
The Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center in Old Lyme
The Bafflin preserve in Pomfret
Deer Pond Farm in Sherman
The Coastal Center at Milford Point
Trail Wood in Hampton.

(Register for the Birdathon here!)

By registering, you will help continue work that provides nesting areas for vulnerable songbirds at:
Smith Richardson Sanctuary in Westport
Chaney Sanctuary in Montville
Croft Sanctuary in Goshen

It will go toward continual trail upkeep to make sure you have safe and accessible places to hike.

It will fund advocacy work on issues like pesticides, horseshoe crab protection, and Lights Out to protect migrating birds.

It will strengthen partnerships to protect vulnerable Piping Plovers, American Oystercatchers, and other coastal waterbirds.

Have fun for a good cause.
Saturday and Sunday, May 20 and 21 — anywhere in Connecticut!
Registration is only $10.
