President Carter’s deep faith and epic love story with his wife and partner Rosalynn shaped his leadership style and long-held ideals. He was a proud Democrat who believed the party and its coalition was a strong tool for everyday people to make government work for them. His life story - a rural farmer who served in the Navy, his first election to the local school board, becoming President and exemplary world citizen - is a worthy example to teach our children and grandchildren.
