Friday evening is all about the Wow!
Beginning with the Monticello Talent Show at the Monticello High School that is sure to excited everyone of all ages! For a small fee, you can come watch all of the talent Monticello has to offer!
At Dusk, prepare to be amazed by the Fireworks Show located on The Monticello High School Grounds.

On Saturday, we have something for everyone – fitness, athletics, shopping, food, music, etc!
Start your morning off with the Monticello Riverfest 5K at 8:30am at West Bridge Park. Including a Fun Run for Kids at 9am. You can sign up on the Riverfest website under the Event Registration tab
The Monticello Chamber is hosting their Annual Art in the Park/Taste of Monticello from 8:00am-3:00pm in Ellison Park, support local restaurants at Taste of Monticello from 10am-3pm.
The big Riverfest Bean Bag Tournament is at 10am at Ellison Park. To guarantee a spot, pre-register with Scott ([email protected]). All levels welcome! Two person teams, $40 registration fee. Payout for 1st-6th place teams!
NEW – The Duck race is now on Saturday at 3pm – come down to Ellison park to catch a glimpse of the duckies floating down the River! Be sure to adopt a duck in the weeks leading up to Riverfest!
Wrap up the day with music, dancing and food with your family, friends and the entire community behind the Monticello Community Center! Gates open at 5:00pm with Food and music provided by Terry Dubois followed by Shirts & Skins taking the stage at 8:00pm!

We close out the best weekend of the year with a Monticello Community Celebration!
Sunday Morning Community worship begins at 9am on the Stage behind the Monticello Community Center. All are welcome!
NEW – Food will begin to be served behind the Community Center at 11am- 5pm where we will have music, games and much more!
Next, the Parade kicks off at 12pm – don’t miss all of the fun and creative floats, not to mention the candy and goodies!
Citizen of the Year Presentation is at 4pm followed by Coronation immediately after!
The Parade Route
The parade starts on 3rd Street at the Monticello American Legion Club and heads East to Walnut Street. Then it will take a right on Walnut Street and head South until 6th Street. The Parade takes a right on 6th Street and heads West to Minnesota Street where it turns South and ends on 7th Street. The parade will not cross Highway 25. (Parade units will end up near the area where they lined up.)
