Patriotic Sing

The Patriotic Sing will be returning to the Morgan Hill Amphitheater for our July 3rd program.  We would like to have any soldiers who have recently returned from deployment during the past year be our Guests of Honor.  Of course, we can’t wait to reunite with our South Bay Blue Star Moms and members of our Armed Forces as we honor those who serve.

Family Music Fest

Welcome To Morgan Hill's Family Music Fest

Come out and join the Family Music Fest on Monterey Road between Dunne and Main Avenue.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase at vendors as well as from local merchants.  Remember – beer and wine sales is one of our few fundraising efforts!  Support Freedom Fest by purchasing from the beer and wine booths!

Morgan Hill Freedom Fest 4th Of July Cruise and Car Show

9:00 am: The Car Cruise will on July 4th and motor up Main Ave, across Peak, down Dunne Ave and then finishes on Monterey Rd in the Northbound lanes.

The Car Show portion of the day will kick off following the parade with the entries from the Car Cruise lined up in the Southbound lanes of Monterey from Noon-2pm. Everyone is welcome to walk along beautiful Downtown Morgan Hill and admire all of the classic and unique cars. Then come join us for the award ceremony that will take place on the main stage on 2nd Street where we will recognize the best of the best from both the parade and the car show.

10am: 147th Fourth Of July Parade

Fireworks On The Green

Welcome To Morgan Hill’S Fireworks On The Green

So, too, does the Morgan Hill Fireworks on the Green inspire joy and symbolize freedom not only to the residents of our community, but to many folks in neighboring communities who travel here to share the celebration of our nation’s birth with us. Mr. Jim Aker and his Fireworks American team has been partnering with the FreedomFest to deliver this jaw-dropping experience (the largest, land-based fireworks display in Northern California) for years as the climax to a fun day of live music, beer, pie eating contests and food trucks.

In 2023, your FreedomFest team, together with our other partners in the City of Morgan Hill and Santa Clara County, has been carefully working over the past months to again ensure that our event is not only exciting and fun, but safe for everyone.

Gates open at 3pm for a full day of food, fun and music. We are excited to have three acts in our line-up this year. The Hitmen will be joining Arena and our beloved Patriotic Singers! The show begins at 5:30pm and goes through until the fireworks start at 9:30pm. That’s over three hours of live music!

We open with Arena performing arena rock classics and R&B dance music from the 70’s to today’s latest hits—older songs that are already classics and new ones that will be—all presented with extremely strong vocals, excellent instrumental skills and dynamic stage presence.  

Following Arena, we will conduct our annual, Gizdich Ranch pie eating contest (thank you Gizdich Family!!).  If you have someone in your group that would like to gorge themselves by trying to beat eleven others eating a pie without the aid of their hands then be one of the first twelve people to sign up for the contest at our Independence Day Celebrations, Inc. headquarters table.

Of course, no Fireworks on the Green festival and show would be complete without the Patriotic Singers. Karen Crane and the Patriotic Singers make a return appearance to give everyone a chance to catch a glimpse of the wonderful program they performed the night before, kicking off our Freedom Fest celebration.

Then, The Hitmen will take the stage. They're funky, soulful and will leave you in a cold sweat. They have been performing together for more than 20 years and their tight-knit group consistently delivers high-energy dance music to audiences at public and private functions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Finally, we will finish off the evening with our fireworks display...BOOM!!
