This year, we awarded a stop motion animation residency grant to the P.G. Chambers School, serving children with disabilities and developmental challenges.

During this program, teaching artist Tracy Fox worked with the students to develop a story, design artwork, record voiceovers, and stage over 1,000 photos that were compiled to create an original video.

Through this work, the students improved their literary, creative, and technical skills all while having fun and expressing themselves through art. They absolutely loved bringing their ideas to life.

"We had non-verbal students that kept saying 'happy!' every time we started the project." - Teacher at the P.G. Chambers School

The highlight of the experience for the students was seeing the final video they worked so hard to create. We hope you enjoy it too - click play below to see the imaginative stop motion animation they made.

At Morris Arts, we believe it's important that all students have access to meaningful arts experiences regardless of age, means, background, or ability.
