January 7, 2025

From: The Dorothy and Charles Mosesian Center for the Arts

Happy 2025!

It may be cold, but we're coming into the new year hot with our Summer Catalog, the River of Light Lantern Parade, an Open Mic event, classes, performances, a new exhibition, and more! See all we have to offer at Mosesian Arts in January.

RIVER OF LIGHT LANTERN PARADE

Join us for the River of Light Lantern Parade, next Saturday, January 18 at 4:00 PM!

Celebrate creativity, community, and light. Artists and community members will showcase handmade lanterns made in our workshops. Experience light through breathtaking performances by local light spinners and dancers. Watertown Free Public Library's Bookmobile will be onsite, and we'll have cookies and hot cocoa inside at our MBar. This fun, all-ages event is free but we encourage attendees to RSVP so we know how many to expect.

MORE INFO & RSVP

There's still time to sign up for lantern making workshops! Visit our website to register. And while you're there, check out the parade route, which begins outside our building on the MCA green.

OPEN MIC - JANUARY 15

The January installment of our Open Mic series in the MCA lobby and art gallery is happening next Wednesday, January 15 at 7:30 PM. The theme is “Family” — we invite you to think of the ones you love, depend on, take care of, fight with, laugh with, the ones you miss and who are always there, the ones who have passed away and who are coming in the future, all the people, animals, plants and spirits who share our world and are a part of our close and extended tribe.

The show will be hosted by a long time Open Mic participant, a cherished member of our tribe and a prominently featured performer Andi Brown!

Performer sign-ups are currently full, so we're sure to have an evening packed full of talent! Reserve your tickets today.
