On Friday, Feb. 28, Democratic governors including Josh Stein signed on to a shameful statement about the Oval Office meeting between President Trump and Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. 

At this meeting, President Trump Vice President Vance simply asked for gratitude from the Ukrainian leader for the debt our country has paid in support of Ukraine and confirmation that a path to end the bloodshed of hundreds of thousands across Europe can be agreed upon. 

Regardless of how one feels about who is currently in the White House, we should expect state governors to side with their own country and not the unacceptable display from Zelenskyy for the TV cameras.

“Democrats, including Josh Stein, seem to be content with other nations’ leaders disrespecting our President in the Oval Office. President Trump forcefully stands for our nation’s interests and will continue to do so. The pettiness of today’s Democrat Party seems to know no limits," said NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer.
