Nebraska Democratic Party Statement on Today’s Shooting in Pennsylvania

LINCOLN, NE - The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb issues the following statement on today’s shooting at a Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania:

“The Nebraska Democratic Party condemns all political violence. We are grateful to the Secret Service and law enforcement for protecting former President Trump and getting him to safety. We hope all rally-goers are on their way home to their loved ones.”

President Joe Biden also issued the following statement:

“I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information.

Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”

Preston Love Jr., candidate for U.S. Senate in Nebraska, issued the following statement on the shooting incident today at a Donald Trump campaign rally in Pennsylvania:

“I am aware of the shooting incident at former President Trump’s rally this afternoon. Violence in our country is never the answer. Whether in the streets or against our leaders, it is simply unacceptable. I urge everyone to stand against violence as we work towards a better future for our nation. I wish the former president Trump a speedy recovery.”
