The New Haven Free Public Library, in partnership with the Yale Affinity Groups, is excited to bring you this book club for families focusing on topics of social importance! We will focus on People with Disabilities and read We Move Together by Kelly Fritsch. Read about the many ways people navigate their environments and the meaningful community relationships formed. Then, stay and create sensory Play doh sculptures. Families, caregivers, and children are welcome to attend!

Mural Drawing Workshop with Victoria Martinez

Artist Victoria Martinez is working on a mural project, which will be installed behind KeyFoods and adjacent to our community gardens. She is offering a free drawing workshop to develop concepts to be incorporated into the mural design. All are welcome!

Featured Teen and Tween Programs
CfAL Summer Youth Apprentice Program
Mondays and Wednesdays (starting July 10; no program on July 31), 10:30 am-12:30 pm | Ives
The summer youth apprentice program, formerly known as BYOC (Build your own computer) is geared for youth ages 16-18 years old who are still in high school, to learn how to troubleshoot, repair and refurbish PC computers. Participants will gain hands-on training working on computers, and upon completion of the program, they will receive a computer to keep.
