Join DMACC at Maytag Park and bring out your inner artists! Take part in this fun, FREE, chalk art activity and get creative! Chalk will be provided
7 pm: Summer Concert Series at Maytag Bowl featuring Blake Jack and South 35 (FREE) at Maytag Bowl
Blake Jack and South 35 are Iowa's premier country party band!
Those attending the free concerts are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and are welcome to bring coolers to Maytag Park as they enjoy the free, live music

Newton Alumni Association's Class Window Displays
All Day: Downtown Newton
All classes celebrating their reunions are invited to participate in this fun display of Red Pride! The theme is remember our past while looking forward to the future. Awards are given for most creative, most nostalgic, and best overall at Saturday's Brunch.
Try the YMCA Day
10 am - 4 pm.: Newton YMCA (1701 S 8th Ave E: Newton, IA 50208)
The Newton YMCA will be open for the public to use free of charge, from 10am - 4pm. The free entry will include the use of all YMCA facilities including the pool, workout equipment, fitness classes and tours of the facility.
Free Community Movie - The Wizard of Oz (1939) (hosted by Capitol II Theatre, sponsored by Newton YMCA, Lauterbach Buick GMC and MercyOne Newton Medical Center)
10 am: Capitol II Theatre (116 1st St N: Newton, IA 50208)
Head to the Capitol II Theatre for a free showing of the Wizard of Oz on the big screen. Doors open at 9:15 am Free tickets are available for pickup at the YMCA or Capitol II Theatre beginning May 24. A $4 concession special will feature a 16 oz. pop and 32 oz. popcorn.

FREE Community Pool Party

Enjoy a fun family night at Maytag Pool courtesy of the Advantage Credit Union! The pool will be open free of charge from 7 pm to 9 pm, with concessions sales available.
FREE UV Glow Foam Party
9 pm - 10:30 pm: Maytag Park (301 S 11th Ave W: Newton, IA 50208)
Kids and adults will have fun jumping through the foam, scooping it up, hiding underneath it and having a blast. The foam cannon stacks piles of UV glow foam while the Driving Cap Entertainment's dj plays live music and creates an experience like nothing we've had during Newton Fest in the past. The foam is biodegradable, hypoallergenic, non-staining, and scent free.

Heath Alan and The Deep Roots? in Concert (FREE)

Heath Alan (Pattschull) is an Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Des Moines, Iowa Heath was nurtured and mentored by some of Iowa's greatest talents including Patrick Hazell, Joe Price, Roger Miller and Jonathan Schwabe Heath was awarded the prestigious Liberace Music Grant (Yes - That Liberace) and inducted into the Yamaha Musicians Hall of Fame before he was 18 years of age Heath studied music at UNLV and The University of Northern Iowa with Frank Gagliardi (Louis Armstrong), Felix Vesculia and composer Jonathan Schwabe Heath has been an active musician in the midwest for the past 20 years Heath got his start with The Blue Band, has lead his own band for the past 20 years and is an active sideman and studio musician
