Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno released the following statement on Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress:

“Nevadans saw an unhinged Donald Trump on full display on Mar 4th night. Instead of focusing on lowering costs for hardworking families, Donald Trump and Republicans have already passed a budget resolution designed to pay for tax cuts for billionaires and large corporations with inevitable cuts to Medicaid, leaving more than 300,000 Nevadans without health care. As unemployment, homelessness, and food insecurity continue to rise and job growth lags the rest of the nation under Joe Lombardo, Trump’s reckless across the board tariffs will have devastating impacts on both Nevada’s tourism and trade industries and will result in an average effective pay cut of nearly $1,000 for U.S. households.
