Pushing Back Against Republican Medicaid Cuts:

• U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen went to the Senate floor last week to push back against House Republicans’ plan to pay for tax cuts for billionaires and large corporations by cutting Medicaid funding.

• U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto joined Senate Democrats for a press conference to ring the alarm bells on how Republicans’ cuts to Medicaid would impact rural communities and limit rural Nevadans’ access to health care providers and clinics.

• Congresswoman Susie Lee sat down with the folks who know firsthand how Medicaid provides critical care to our families, seniors in nursing homes, & people with disabilities.

Standing Up Against Trump: 

• Congresswoman Dina Titus appeared on CNN’s The Lead to talk about how the Trump-Musk administration’s cuts to federal workers would be devastating to Nevada seniors and veterans.
• Congressman Steven Horsford met with community leaders to discuss Elon Musk’s grant freezes that threaten housing for individuals with HIV/AIDS & cuts support for 474 AmeriCorps seniors who provide meals. 

On Feb 25th, Nevada Democrats stood up for working families and voted against House Republicans’ plan to cut taxes for large corporations and the wealthy by cutting Medicaid funding and kicking more than 300,000 Nevadans off their health insurance.
