NOTES FROM THE CHAMBER OFFICE:

Greetings, Chamber Members and Guests,

Thanks to all who have renewed your membership for the April 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024, member year. We appreciate your involvement in YOUR chamber.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS: Renewal invoices have been emailed to most members (with the remainder to go out by the end of next week). If we haven’t received your renewal, you’ll receive a follow-up invoice via U S Mail by the end of April. All memberships technically expired on March 31, 2023, but we offer a grace period of payment through April 30 before your listing and logo are pulled from our website.

EVENTS: Thus far in 2023, we’ve had a number of very successful events, in terms of ribbon-cuttings, Women in Business luncheons, mixers and special events such as our Member Appreciation/Installation Dinner in January and our just-concluded “How Safe Are You” safety meeting with Sheriff Tyson Pogue and friends. Yesterday’s Women in Business at the EMC SPCA Animal Care was a rousing success and a sellout, to the extent that we plan to do another luncheon with priority reservations for those who were not able to attend this one. No date has yet been determined.

WHY BE A MEMBER?

Chamber members support their community, and we support our chamber community by giving referrals to inquirers to our members. Note that there are business categories that have no listings.

Partner with OACC to sponsor a chamber mixer, so the community gets to know you. Mixers are scheduled for the third Thursday of each month but can be scheduled more frequently as the chamber receives requests.

Women in Business luncheons, offered the second Tuesday of each month, give our local restaurants an opportunity to show off their cuisine.

Ribbon cuttings are available to any chamber member and are not just for newly-opened businesses. Do you have a business anniversary? A special event? We want to help you celebrate.

Smaller Businesses: Consider joining together with fellow small businesses to offer a mixer. Share the costs, share the fun.
