A Note from Your Chamber President, Deb Sprinkel

I am so honored to be the President of the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce this year!

We have already made some positive changes and look forward to continually striving toward being the voice for our local businesses and assisting with your growth.

For starters, we just hired another Chamber Administrator (Victoria Bills) to work in our Chamber Office in Oakhurst. Once Victoria is trained, she and Judi Hussain will succeed in expanding our office hours to cover 5 days a week (Monday through Friday) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and other hours, as required. By accomplishing this, they will have the opportunity to be more involved in our Community, both in the Office and at our various sponsored events, which gives more exposure to our businesses - that’s You! 

As you know, we provide mixers for our Members, on the third Thursday of every month, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and we also provide the Women-in-Business (WIB) luncheon events on the secondTuesday of every month, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Refer to our Eblasts.).

On April 12, 2023, the Chamber is having a “Safety” meeting at the Yosemite Cinema from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (doors open at 11:30 p.m. and food can be purchased at the Cinema). Sheriff Tyson Pogue and his staff will be presenting and giving us all some great safety tips. Please RSVP for this event as we expect a great attendance.

If any of our members have any other ideas to share, or questions, then please don’t hesitate to contact our Chamber office as we are here to assist you. If you would like to speak with myself, or anyone else on the Board, then let our office know.

If I haven’t met you yet, please stop by one of our many events and say hello. Once again, it is my pleasure to serve our businesses. I will see you around town with a smile on my face.
