From: Ocean County Library

The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch is pleased to present “Illuminations,” unique expressions by members of the Toms River Artist Community (TRAC), throughout the month of September.

The exhibit in the Second Floor Gallery draws on the contributing artists’ varied viewpoints, realizations, and artistic impressions. The common thread is experimentation, resulting in bold, brilliant colors, captivating subjects, and strong visual statements.

Situated in the heart of Downtown Toms River, TRAC consists of local artists, working in a variety of media, and engaging in equally varied styles and themes. The group’s philosophy is to use creative expression to generate positive visions.

“Illuminations” marks TRAC’s return to the OCL Toms River Branch, one of many local venues in which the organization displays its works. TRAC’s dedication to public engagement, highlighted by its annual “Summer Arts Fest,” is a longstanding tradition.

The group fosters an affordable, vibrant environment in which artists can create, teach, and exhibit their work. TRAC strives to enrich its surrounding community, and to be a catalyst in the continuing revitalization of Downtown Toms River.

“Illuminations” is free and open to the public during normal Branch operating hours. For more information, stop by the OCL Toms River Branch, 101 Washington Street, call (732) 349-6200, or visit www.theoceancountylibrary.org/events.
