The Oregon Truffle Festival is excited to announce its 2025 programming! The Oregon Truffle Festival is the premier event of its kind in the country, and the foremost wintertime culinary event in the Pacific Northwest.

We look forward to seeing you during the height of Oregon truffle season at some of our beloved, long-held events like The Joriad North American Truffle Dog Competition. We will also have some new offerings, like our Valentines Day weekend event series in Astoria Oregon, a fungi and truffle immersion on the Oregon Coast at the beautifully restored Liberty Theater. New events will be added here, so please check back for more opportunities to celebrate Oregon truffles!

2025 Truffle Farming A – Z

OSU CH2M Hill Alumni Center 725 SW 26th St, Corvallis, Oregon

Truffle Farming A – Z is a ?two-day gathering designed for beginning and prospective truffle growers, but established growers ?have given it rave reviews as well.  Each morning features lectures covering a wide range of topics, including the essential climate, habitat, and biology of truffles; detailed guidance on establishing and managing a truffle orchard; and practical advice on harvesting, grading, and shipping your crop. The discussions include comprehensive orchard case studies to bring it all down to earth, and an afternoon in the field touring an established orchard. Both days include ample time for Q&A.

The workshop is led by Dr. Charles Lefevre ?of New World Truffieres and Dr. Shannon Berch, a truffle researcher for the Government of British Columbia. Joining them is Andy Gallagher from Red Hill Soils.

The program includes two days in the classroom and the field, catered truffled breakfasts and lunches each day, and a Saturday evening social hour at the beautiful home of our orchard tour host.

2025 Two-Day Truffle Dog Training

Eugene, OR Eugene, Oregon

The two-day Truffle Dog Training will be held on a lovely family farm in wine country west of Eugene, Oregon, with the following schedule:

The two-day Truffle Dog Training is a small, focused training intensive taught by long time professionals where participants learn the fundamentals of scent training for truffle hunting in their native habitat.

Day 1 includes curriculum review and questions, and begins outdoor training exercises. On Day 2, you’ll take your new skills into the forest for more training and after lunch, a full on truffle hunt.

A catered Oregon truffle lunch is included both Saturday and Sunday, along with warm beverages and snacks.

$625 – 1 dog, 1 person, or
$775 for 1 dog, 2 persons

Once you have purchased your tickets, you will receive information packets from OTF and our trainers on preparing for the class, timing for the 2 days of training, and other pertinent details such as necessary vaccinations.

Proof of current rabies and leptospirosis vaccinations are required to participate.

Lodging and transportation are not included, but there are a number of dog friendly lodging options available within about a 10 mile drive of the training site.

OTF cannot offer refunds once you have registered except in the very unlikely event your dog is deemed unsuited for training. Females cannot attend if they are in heat.
