Out-of-Stater Navigator: Montana Women and Firefighters Reject Shady Sheehy

Government and Politics

November 2, 2024

With just four days until the election, Montana women and firefighters are making clear that they will reject Tim Sheehy at the ballot box. In response to Sheehy calling them “indoctrinated” for caring about their freedoms, more than 1,000 Montana women have signed an open letter demanding Sheehy apologize for his degrading comments. And, after accusing wildland firefighters of “laziness” and “greed,” the union that represents Montana firefighters slammed Sheehy for his disrespectful comments.

Sheehy has repeatedly demeaned and alienated the people he claims to want to represent, and Montanans know that they deserve better. That is why Montanans will reject Sheehy on Tuesday and re-elect Jon Tester – a true champion for Montana values.

MORE THAN 1,000 MONTANA WOMEN SIGN OPEN LETTER SLAMMING TIM SHEEHY FOR INSULTING THEM AS “INDOCTRINATED”

More than 1,000 Montana women of all political stripes have signed an open letter addressed to Sheehy slamming him for his recent comments insulting Montana women as “indoctrinated” for caring about their reproductive freedoms.

In their blistering new letter, Republican, Independent, and Democratic Montana women call on Sheehy to apologize for his demeaning remarks. The women conclude their letter by writing: “Your insults and dangerous policies are disqualifying, and we will make our “indoctrinated” voices heard at the ballot box this November by supporting Jon Tester who is a true champion for our freedoms.”

DAILY MONTANAN: WILDLAND FIREFIGHTERS’ UNION “CRITICIZES SHEEHY’S COMMENTS AS ‘OUT OF STEP’”

New reporting tonight from the Daily Montanan highlights how Tim Sheehy is facing criticism from the federal union representing wildland firefighters, after Sheehy was caught repeatedly accusing the brave first responders of “laziness,” “greed,” and “milking every fire” in order to rack up more overtime pay.

FOUR DAYS OUT, SHEEHY IS STILL REFUSING TO RELEASE HIS MEDICAL RECORDS

With four days left until Election Day, Sheehy is still refusing to come clean with Montanans about the lies he has told about his military service.

Bombshell reporting from the New York Times and Washington Post scrutinized the bullet wound Sheehy claimed he received in combat, but federal records and firsthand accounts show was self-inflicted in a Glacier National Park parking lot. Sheehy has refused to release his medical records or allow hospital staff who treated his injury to speak with the press.

LEE MONTANA STATE BUREAU: DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES “BURN SHOE LEATHER TO REACH VOTERS”

New reporting from the Billings Gazette outlines how the Big Sky Victory, the Montana Democratic Party’s coordinated campaign, is reaching voters in every corner of the state, thanks to their robust organizing operation.

This year, Big Sky Victory has knocked on 500,000 doors to re-elect Jon Tester and Democratic candidates up and down the ballot, working across party lines to find new supporters. And those efforts will bring them to victory on Election Day.

ACROSS STATEWIDE NEWSPAPERS, MONTANANS SHARE WHY SHEEHY CAN’T BE TRUSTED & TESTER EARNS THEIR VOTE

As voters head to the ballot box, Montanans are writing a wave of op-eds and letters to the editor highlighting why Sheehy can’t be trusted and Jon Tester has earned their support.

Montanans are writing into their local papers to slam Sheehy for lying about hismilitary recordinsulting Montana women, pledging to sell off public lands, and planning to strip funding from public schools. And they’re talking about how Jon Tester fights for Montana values and is willing to work with anyone to do what’s best for his home state.
