District 3 Supervisor Steve Miller Inducted Into the Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame

The county would like to congratulate District 3 Supervisor Steve Miller, who was recently inducted into the Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame.

 Public Health Director Tascha Spears Retirement Announcement

At Wednesday's Board of Supervisors Meeting, County Manager Leo Lew announced that Tascha Spears, Director of Public Health, is retiring from Pinal County on February 13th.

Lew paid tribute to Dr. Spears and her impact on family advocacy centers, medical forensics, and public health. Dr. Spears, who joined Pinal County in 2014, took over as Public Health Director in 2020, leading the County through the vast majority of the Covid pandemic.

35th Annual Arizona Renaissance Festival Kicks Off This Weekend in Gold Canyon

Take advantage of the fun at the 35th Annual Arizona Renaissance Festival, which opens on February 4th! Mingle with costumed characters, eat a giant turkey leg, and cheer on your favorite knight; there is so much to see and do at this unique outdoor event!

The festival is located just east of Apache Junction on US Highway 60 and is open Saturdays and Sundays from February 4 through April 2 (including Presidents Day, 2/20). Click here fore more information.

Have you ever wondered how the criminal justice system works or how a case comes before a judge? Then this is a great learning opportunity for you.

PCAO Citizens Academy is designed to give you a behind-the-scenes look at a case, from a suspect’s initial arrest and booking into Pinal County Detention Center to their sentencing or acquittal.

The Board held a Special Session Meeting on Friday at Supervisor Miller's request to reconsider Item 4 from Wednesday's meeting. The Board rolled back on its earlier motion for the item, ultimately approving the original motion.
