Polynesian Luau Show at Ocean County Library to Celebrate
Asian American-Native Hawaiian-Pacific Islander Heritage

May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. As part of its activities and programs throughout the month, the Ocean County Library will present an authentic Polynesian Luau showat three branches:

- Brick Branch, 301 Chambers Bridge Road, (732) 477-4513, 6:30 PM Monday, May 8

- Little Egg Harbor Branch,290 Mathistown Road., (609) 294-1197, 6:30 PM Tuesday, May 16

- Toms River Branch,101 Washington Street, (732) 349-6200, 6:30 PM Wednesday, May 24

This event for all ages by Paradise Island Entertainment will feature costumes and choreography from the large Pacific island group, live hula dancers and musicians, and authentic Tahitian drummers.

Attendees will also enjoy interactive Polynesian cultural activities, including brief lessons in the Hawaiian language, Hula and Tahitian dance, and New Zealand Poi Ball spinning.

Paradise Island Entertainment is a South Jersey-based professional purveyor of Polynesian culture, traditions, and music, serving New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware for more than 40 years.
