Katherine “Rosie” Rigsby Widner Amidei was a wonder in the kitchen. Over the years, I've shared in my columns and cookbooks Rosie's recipes for her fudge, pecan pie, soups and the classic Italian beef sandwich recipe. Rosie passed away at age 94 on Jan. 19, and I joined my parents and siblings at her funeral service in North Judson on Jan. 29.
