Approximately 280 from far away cities including - Oklahoma to Dallas, Killeen, San Antonio to Brownsville, Illinois, Orocovis Puerto Rico (!!) - and KXAN News enjoyed our once-in-a-lifetime, fusion of Puerto Rican and Colombian mountain traditions!

Celebrando 2023 - SALSA & HERITAGE FESTIVAL

Proyecto Montañas, Colombia & Boricua Mountain Traditions!

Find your dancing shoes! Experience a rich fusion of Puerto Rican and Colombian mountain traditions brought to life in this one-time-only event! Our Salsa & Heritage Festival will feature handcraft artisans, comida criolla by Borinken Roots, and special guest artists:

- TrabuRikan Salsa Orquestra -- the BEST Salsa orquesta in Texas!

- Kiko Villamizar - Colombian Folklorist, Musician, Songwriter &

Colombian Master artists El Indio Hernandez and Damian Bossio.

- Ricky Villanueva - national award-winning improvisational trovador, musician and composer from Comerio, the Cradle of Trovadors.

- Irvin Santiago Diaz - award-winning Cuatrista and Trovador of improvised décima from Morovis.

- Raul de la Paz - Master Choreographer & Director, Ballet Sangre Viva

- Karla Cortijo - Dancer & Choreographer, Ballet Sangre Viva

- Isaí Chacon - Flamenco Guitarist, Musical Director A'lante Flamenco

- Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance with Tekina-eirú Maynard, Director, Choreographer, Songwriter!

The Salsa & Heritage Festival will take place at the JCC Ballroom at Shalom Austin, 7300 Hart Ln, Austin, TX 78731.
