The San Mateo County History Maker Named

San Mateo County Historical Association is pleased to announce that this year’s San Mateo County History Maker is Jamis MacNiven.

Some refer to him as the “Wizard of Skyline,” others call him the “Unofficial Mayor of Silicon Valley.” He is best known as the founder and face of Buck’s Restaurant in Woodside, recognized internationally for over three decades as the place entrepreneurs meet venture capital. He has watched as firms such as Hotmail, eBay, Netscape, PayPal, and Tesla were born over discussions at his establishment.
