From: Sawtooth Salmon FestivalJoin Idaho Rivers United and the Sawtooth Interpretive & Historical Association for our annual Sawtooth Salmon Festival in beautiful Stanley, Idaho!
This FREE, family friendly event is all about celebrating Idaho's wild salmon and steelhead! We will have bus tours out to the river to see wild salmon spawning with educational interpretive talks.
If you’re interested in starting the salmon celebration early, join Kurt Tardy, Fisheries Manager for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, for a tour of the Pettit Lake Creek fish weir and discussion of the Tribes’ sockeye recovery program in the lake - 10AM on the road in to Pettit, right before the lake.
Throughout the day Salmon Fest vendors will be providing fun, kid friendly activities centered around salmon. Find out more about the festival at this link. All proceeds benefit IRU salmon conservation campaigns. More details to follow!
