The Scenter is owned by local husband-and-wife duo Jim and Jana Richey. The couple brings a wealth of experience from their backgrounds in HR outsourcing, which brought them from the Midwest to Orlando. During their time in Orlando, Jana and Jim owned three wellness franchise locations from 2009 to 2022, and their extensive experience and success with franchise ownership have set them up for a seamless transition to their next business venture. After settling in Naples, the Richeys began exploring new business opportunities and were drawn to Scenthound’s unique franchise model and ability to serve the local community by promoting pet wellness. Naples marks the first of two locations that the couple will open in the area.

“While Jim and I were learning more about Scenthound, we realized how much we didn’t know about proper dog care,” said Jana. “Like many pet owners, Jim and I see our two dogs as family. Discovering that we weren’t providing the right hygiene care inspired us to bring Scenthound to our community. We want to educate fellow dog owners about the essential routine care dogs need to live happy, healthy and long lives.”
