Tallahassee - These Florida Democrats are shameless!

Last February, 22 year old Laken Riley was murdered in Athens, Georgia by an illegal alien. That should have never happened. If that illegal alien had not felt comfortable to roam our streets, Laken Riley would be alive today.

That is why the U.S. House of Representatives presented and passed legislation that would require federal immigration authorities to detain illegal aliens found guilty of theft related crimes and would allow states to sue the Department of Homeland Security for harm caused to their citizens because of illegal immigration.

So, guess who voted against this important bill? You got it, the same Florida Democrats who voted against deporting sex offenders:

“These Florida Democrats have neither head nor heart. How can they not work tirelessly to protect American citizens from criminal offenders and deport those that are here illegally? It makes no sense except for the fact that they are soft on crime to the detriment of the safety of our communities,” said Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power. “Fortunately, they have zero clout, and the bill passed all the same,” said Power.

We can’t afford to have members of Congress who irresponsibly care more about criminals rather than their victims. Florida deserves better.
