Spring Egg Hunt Saturday, April 1st starting at 9 a.m. SHARP
Head to the library to find the eggs!
Please read below as we are expecting to have a lot of fun and want everyone to have a nice and safe time.
This program will start at 9am SHARP.
The Children's Program Room will be set up for the youngest (pre-walking) visitors
The Children's Room will be for kids up to age 5
The Main Floor will be for kids 6+
The library will provide bags for kids to hunt with
Each child is asked to only take 10 eggs
If a family comes with more than 1 child they are welcome to pick the area they hunt in
No registration required
Autism Awareness Craft Sunday, April 2nd at 2 p.m.
Celebrate World Autism Awareness Day by making a puzzle piece shaped craft. For kids ages 3+, while supplies last.
Pokémon Trivia Night Monday, April 3rd at 6 p.m. Calling all Pokémon Trainers! This trivia night is for you! How well do you know the Pokémon shows, movies, video games, and of course those amazing Pokémon themselves? Test your skills and see if you are the Pokémon Master!
Delicious Destinations: Passover Tuesday, April 4th at 3 p.m. Join Miss Rashmi on this half day of school and learn how to make (and enjoy eating) snacks for Passover. For kids in grades 1-4. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Ramadan Storytime Thursday, April 6th at 4 p.m. Join Dr. Noor Ali for stories and activities celebrating Ramadan! (Admittance tokens required)
Courtyard Storytime Monday, April 10th at 10 a.m. Join Miss Sonja for singing, dancing, and stories in the fresh air. No registration or tokens needed. Geared toward kids age 1+. In the case of inclement weather the program will be canceled.
Pokémon Card Trading Tuesday, April 11th at 6 p.m. Bring your cards and let's start trading!
Young Scientist Wednesdays, April 12 - May 24th at 1 p.m. Young Scientists is a free STEM program facilitated by STEM Beginnings. The program is for children ages 3-6 with a parent or caregiver.
*The “Young Scientists” series is sponsored by the YMCA Family & Community Partnership (YFCP), which is a Massachusetts Coordinated Family & Community Engagement (CFCE) Grant funded by the Department of Early Education and Care and awarded to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts.

Storytime with Miss Blackstone Valley Saturday, April 15th at 3 p.m. Join Miss Blackstone Valley, Natalie Ehrensbeck, for a story and craft about helping your community! For kids in grades K-4. Space is limited. Please get a token per family at the Children's Desk starting 30 minutes prior to the program.
Tech Tear Down Tuesday, April 18th at 3 p.m. Ever wondered what is inside different electronics? Now's your chance to open them up and see what's inside! No registration necessary, for ages 5+ with constant adult supervision.
Seed Starting with the Shrewsbury Garden Club! Wednesday, April 19th at 12 p.m. The Shrewsbury Garden Club is presenting Seed Starting! In this ever popular event, children will learn how to start plants from seeds and leave with several flats to grow at home! This event is for children in pre-school through 5th grade. Registration is required.
Earth Day Take-Home Craft Thursday, April 20th available starting at 10 a.m. while supplies last. Please only take 1 kit per child. Crafts are geared for kids 3+.
Elephant & Piggie Storytime Thursday, April 20th at 3 p.m.
Gerald and Piggie are coming to the library for a special storytime! This program is geared for kids ages 3+ but all are welcome. (Admittance tokens required)
Star Wars Trivia Monday, May 1st at 6 p.m. Get ready for "May the 4th Be With You" by using a Jedi Mind Trick to answer some trivia! Prove to the world you're not some half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herderer! Test your knowledge about the movies and shows in the world of Star Wars! Free pizza and drinks provided. All ages welcome!
