Clubs and Organizations

March 6, 2025

The South Lake Non-Profit Think Tank was launched in 2021 by Otis and Sandra Taylor to help unify local area nonprofit agencies and community organizations as well as to personify the pride and community spirit that we have here in Clermont and Central Florida! The South Lake Non-Profit Think Tank affiliates work together to come up with innovative solutions for operating and funding to help improve and expand the serves and benefits for each of their organizations. This unified Think Tank group regularly meets together to collaborate with each other for the mutual benefit of our community.

Grateful Sponsorships: Otis and Sandra Taylor recently shared recognition plaques to thank Chick-fil-A, Community Foundation of South Lake, and Dunkin’ for their support of South Lake Non-Profit Think Tank and the Give A Day Foundation.

Otis Taylor shared, “I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors Chick-fil-A, Dunkin, and Community Foundation of South Lake for their unwavering support of our South Lake Non-Profit Think Tank. Their generosity and partnership have made a significant impact on our ability to innovate and drive positive change in our community!

Sandra Taylor noted, “We are very grateful for our sponsors … and thankful for our local non-profits as well as all the great work they do in the community! It truly takes a team working together to accomplish the overall mission of helping people in this wonderful community.”

Similar Challenges! With ongoing challenges, such as funding and a need for more sponsors and volunteers, each participating organization continues to face many of the same concerns. By uniting, they explore smart common solutions as well as information sharing on many demanding issues like community impact, organizational growth, new services, media exposure, special events and grants.

Sharing Creative Solutions! They regularly hold bi-monthly cooperative think tank sessions at the Community Foundation of South Lake. These workshops bring together local non-profits as well as city and county agencies to collaboratively tackle common challenges. Non-profit training sessions are also available to help participants strengthen their skills in marketing, social media, and operational procedures. The goal is to develop unified solutions to resource challenges, including food insecurities, affordable housing, financial management, career development, healthcare awareness, cancer treatment services, volunteerism, scholarships, senior citizen programs, youth programming, local arts, technical services, and much more.

Give A Day Foundation, Otis and Sandra Taylor have made hundreds of volunteers into everyday heroes who help make a difference in our community. The Give A Day Foundation partners with local area non-profit organizations to support a multitude of community services. Their mission is to help our community through volunteerism.
