THE PHILHARMONIC WELCOMES BACK TRUMPET VIRTUOSO JENS LINDEMANN
The Spartanburg Philharmonic is thrilled to welcome back world-renowned trumpeter Jens Lindemann for our upcoming concert, Blues dell'arte, on February 15th. A virtuoso performer known for his incredible range and emotive artistry, Lindemann will take center stage to perform a brand-new trumpet concerto by the legendary Wynton Marsalis.
This highly anticipated work, blending jazz influences with classical traditions, promises to captivate audiences and showcase Lindemann's unmatched talent. This special evening will highlight the Philharmonic's commitment to presenting groundbreaking compositions performed by the best in the field.
Jens Lindemann’s return marks a near decade since his unforgettable performance at our Symphony Sweethearts 'n' Jazz concert in 2016, led by former Music Director Sarah Ioannides. His collaboration with the Philharmonic then left a lasting impression, and we are delighted to have him grace our stage once more. Join us at Twichell Auditorium as we celebrate an extraordinary night of music, creativity, and connection. Don't miss this opportunity to witness a master at work as we continue our 2024-25 season with Blues dell'arte!
