LANSING — Following Senator Stabenow’s farewell address, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:

“Senator Debbie Stabenow has been a dedicated public servant since her very first campaign in 1974 and has proudly served Michiganders for nearly 50 years. Throughout her career, she has made history time and time again while tirelessly fighting for Michiganders and their families every single day.

“The impact she has made on Michigan cannot be overstated, and we are all incredibly lucky to have had her as our Senator and friend for so long. Thank you, Senator Stabenow, for all you have done for the Michigan Democratic Party and for our great state.”
